Door Services has openings for residential and commercial technicians/ trainees. In addition to commercial sectional and rolling steel doors, we install automatic door openers, gate operators, and other various equipment such as loading dock levelers, bumpers and other loading dock equipment, hollow metal doors, and openers of all types. An installer is an individual who is mechanically inclined who can assess and adapt to varying field conditions and communicate field findings to the main office. Installers often have to lift up to 75 pounds comfortably, climb ladders and work on lifts. A successful candidate must have a valid Maine driver's license (clean driving record) and be comfortable driving one-ton trucks, trucks with trailers and maneuvering lifts. Installers provide their own hand tools. Occasionally our work requires us to travel out of town overnight or to work at night or on a weekend. Overtime is often required. Technicians rotate on-call coverage for our emergency service work and get receive special pay rates. We provide on the job training and schooling so that trainees can develop quickly.
