Singer-songwriter seeking small group

Boston MA

Description

I'm a singer song writer looking to form a small group - I don't have too much of a vision, can play most anything but I will say I'm not much for lead guitar. I write a lot of songs but would be interested in collaborating with a songwriting partner to polish some songs off and get some new ideas. I like 50s, 60s, and 70s music and my main song writing influences are Van Morrison, Judee Sill, Jim Croce, Gram Parsons/Flying Burrito Brothers, The Byrds, CSNY, Jackson Browne... But I also love Doo Wop, Rhythm n Blues, Psych, soul, girl groups of the 50s and 60s, some classic rock and C&W. Basically I am an oldies nerd who write songs, looking for a group. I live in Boston but willing to travel - I work in the Merrimack river valley so anywhere around there is pretty convenient for me. Anyways- I have a lot of songs written and have demos recorded I can send to you. If you dig them, maybe we can work something out. I am seeking a light drummer, a bass player, a steel pedal guitar player, and a lead guitar player- could be acoustic or electric. Maybe violin. I am also willing to join your group or form a different group if any of this music appeals to you. I used to play in a touring band and just looking to play for fun again. Open to anything. I have a "DIY ethic" but no punk please. I'm in my 20s but have no age restriction (you should probably be 21+ though). Would like to gig out but not in it for the money and I don't expect to get paid and I don't even care about that really. If you do we could talk about it. Keep on playing, everyone!
