Description
We are seeking to re-home our 6 month old maltipoo puppy to a loving and experienced home that knows how to handle blind dogs. The puppy is female, has had all her shots but not yet spayed. Besides her very poor vision she has been checked out by several vets and deemed healthy. She is very vocal and has some behavioral issues that can be worked on by an experienced person. We have had her since February and back then we didn't realize that she was visually impaired and the breeder we got her from did not disclose it to us. It took her a little time to get used to our home and while we have done what we can to help ease her and make her feel part of our family, we feel that she may thrive with a more experienced family.
She has anxiety issues and gets trazodone to help with her symptoms. She has no problems with eating or drinking but is not yet potty trained. It has been very difficult for us to deal with her at times but it may be in part to our inexperience in dealing with a blind puppy.
Her name is Iris and we care deeply for her and will only select the most suitable and experienced family for her. If you'd be interested we'd love to hear from you; please tell us about your experience, situation and how you'd be suitable to bring in Iris into your home. If you'd like to share any other information with us we'd appreciate it.
We are hoping to find a home where Iris will thrive and will settle for nothing less.
Thanks for reading our post.
