The Tech Hero will come to your rescue virtually (by phone, email, or video call) and provide tech help for seniors who are involved in programs provided by Lutheran Community Services for people living with dementia. Tech Heros will utilize technology as a way to participate, communicate and socialize with staff, seniors and volunteers. Position Functions(not limited to the following) *You must be able to communicate comfortably over the phone or virtually with seniors to assess and problem solve technology concerns and provide tech solutions *Promote a positive client experience and build the relationship by demonstrating necessary human relation skills including compassion, empathy, and patience Due to COVID, we have transitioned some of our programs into a virtual platform and sometimes our participants need a little assistance with technology. If you believe you meet the following criteria, please apply for this volunteer position: *Ability to work well remotely *Ability to prioritize calls *Good organizational skills *Ability to follow directions *Must be able to work at home *Requires strict adherence to HIPAA standards to ensure confidentiality *Must be familiar with Mac, IOS, Android, and Windows operating systems
