The Laurel Foundation is dedicated to empowering the lives of children, youth and families affected by HIV/AIDS and transgender/gender diverse youth (Camp Mulberry). Camp Laurel is reserved for our children and youth affected with HIV/AIDS ages 6-17. We are looking for enthusiastic male volunteers who want to make a difference. If you love to help others, make life-long friendships, and expand your horizons, then apply to become a camp counselor!! The Camp is located in beautiful Big Bear, California. Our programs enable children living with HIV/AIDS to experience the magic and wonders of childhood free from the stresses of their daily lives. Through love, compassion and hope, Camp Laurel teaches children to understand that each one of them has the ability to make their life as full and rich as the next child’s regardless of this illness. We are seeking those interested in making a difference this summer and changing the lives of at-risk youth. Serving as a Camp Laurel Camp Counselor is a rewarding and challenging experience, one that many volunteers return to year after year. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age, be comfortable working with adults and children with HIV/AIDS, and have lots of energy. *Our residential camps will be following all protocols and procedures set by local and state officials to keep the risk of COVID at a minimum.
