Senior Estimator Job Description We are looking for a seasoned framing Estimator to evaluate bid specifications and drawings, ensuring that we know everything required to successfully bid and win projects and ensure that project coordination and administration runs smoothly on multiple projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate will have a strong multi-tasking capability, competent in prioritizing and organizing, professional, self-motivated and trustworthy. The Estimator will perform well-coordinated and efficient technical and administrative duties to enhance our overall productivity and customer service. Full-time schedule is Monday - Friday. Specific Responsibilities Prepare, analyze and maintain accurate and thorough material and labor takeoff quantities from plans for Specific Division 06000 - Rough Carpentry. Create and manage estimates and summary spreadsheets using Mircosoft Excel. Assign unit pricing for cost of materials, loose lumber, exterior trim and labor to perform all wood framing scope of works tasks. Generate and log-in all project correspondence, RFI’s, product and component submittals, formal proposals and change orders. Monitor and communicate project progress/status with management. Establish communication with General Contractor construction management teams Be a lead point of contact for jobsite correspondence, RFI’s, ASI’s, change orders, etc., for the duration of the construction project (generating and receiving) Upload shop drawings to GC construction management software such as Procore and Building Connected Assist in field/office coordination issues Experience / Skills Senior level project management and construction project kick-off experience Ability to multi-task with excellent organizational and time management skills Proficient in blueprint analysis Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, Plan Swift and Dropbox usage Good communication skills and ability to interact professionally and effectively with other trades and customers Education: Military experience a plus High School Diploma Required Job Type: Full-time Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 per year (year-end bonuses based on performance) Work Location: Office headquarters - Elkridge, MD / Troy Hill Professional Business Park Work sites cover Maryland & DC area Benefits: 401K Retirement Plan after 1 year full-time employment Supplemented Healthcare benefits after 9 months of full-time employment Vacation-pay after 6 months of successful full-time employment Limited paid sick leave Work Hours: Monday – Friday 7am – 3:30pm (Some weekend and overtime hours)
