Description
Looking for an independent contractor (IC) for onsite stone fabrication and installation. This is a subcontract position that will last approximately 4-6 weeks. This will be a temporary contract position and you will be paid weekly. Pay is better than average.
As an independent contractor, you will have to fill out a W-9 and will receive a 1099 at the end of the year and will be responsible for filing and paying your own estimated taxes as needed.
Jobsite: Downtown Fort Worth, commercial construction site
Hours: Work day starts early
Parking: Onsite parking is limited. To avoid parking fees, you can ride with me or find your own parking at your own expense.
Equipment: Most equipment will already be at the job site, but you need to provide:
· Steel-toed work boots
· Safety vest
· Hardhat
· Work gloves
· Other PPE as required by GC, including face masks
Work Description:
· Handling heavy pieces of stone, fabricating, and installing them.
· Preparation and cleaning of job site
.· Operation of a variety of hand and power tools.
· Performing work in the area of marble/natural stone fabrication and installation
· May assist other craft workers.
· Use freight elevator
Skills Needed: While countertop fabrication skills are preferred, general construction/remodeling skills are acceptable. The ability to work professionally and respectfully with other trades is expected. Reliability and strong work ethic are required.
