Line locators get to work outside everyday! Line locators work under the direction of their company supervisor, performing work that involves visual inspection of predefined construction areas, reading and interpretation of utility maps to determine the presence of under-ground utilities, while using special electronic equipment to locate and protect the utility from being damaged. Some of these utilities include gas, electric, water, cable, sewer, and more.
