This isn't an ad for anything serious - I've no plans for anything professional or anything - just making recordings at home: I just got to Fresno with a simple MBox set-up (with Pro Tools on a laptop) which is great for making beats and grooves, except I also want to hear original chords, solos, scratching, etc., over them. I'm into *everything* from ABBA to Miles Davis to Flying Lotus to Foetus to Heart to Jay-Z to Madlib to Charles Mingus to Public Enemy to the Orb to Oingo Boingo to Sweet to Ween to Bill Withers to the Wu-Tang Clan to Zappa, and more. I hope you get the idea. If you've got a portable rig and want to drink a decent beer (or two) while making tunes, hit me up.
