Sustainable nursery/landscaping position

We are a small husband and wife team looking for an enthusiastic part time helper for landscape installations and nursery work. Sustainability is one of our core values and our goal is to create backyard spaces that not only look great but provide important ecosystem services as well such as storm water management, reduced water usage, carbon capture, wildlife habitat, etc. We also have a small nursery that supplies plants for our design jobs which is Certified Naturally Grown (chemical free plants). As a representative of our company who may occasionally need to interact with our customers, the ideal candidate would also value sustainability. This is landscaping, nursery and groundskeeper work so there will be a lot of variety in the tasks required. A willingness to work in all weather is required (good rain gear is a necessity). On the landscaping side, tasks may include but are not limited to digging, heavy lifting, use of a wide variety of tools and equipment, mulch/gravel moving, sod removal/installation, plant installation etc. At the shop/nursery there will be property maintenance such as weeding and mowing, shop/barn clean up, nursery work such as potting up plants, fertilizing, moving plants etc. We need someone willing to do all sorts of grunt work! The job is part time right now but hours may increase in the future as the nursery expands. Experience in landscaping is a big plus. At least basic proficiency using gardening and construction tools is required but we are willing to do some training. This job may also require driving a truck and trailer so experience or willingness to learn is necessary. Pay will depend on experience.
