ISO fellow skillful Guitarist for good jam-hangs
Follower of progressive/indie Americana & nouveau American Bluegrass scenes (Nashville via Brooklyn via Denver) would be a definite plus. Think Sarah Jarosz & Billy Strings and both their Grammy award-winning songbooks. Throw in the entire Great American Songbook for added measure, really. Entire classic albums like 'A Hard Day's Night'... & 'Tapestry' by Carole King...
Familiarity & ease with original genres such as Hot club/Gypsy jazz swing standards definitely counts as a plus. Knowing your way around trad folk essentially leads to good jams, too.
Interest in, and ability with, modern iterations of Rhythm & Blues would be considered a good sign. If you enjoy NOLA powerhouses like Tank & the Bangas, that would be a good thing. If you remember Arrested Development as a hip hop ensemble, can easily hum an Anderson.Paak melody & aren't above giving the late Mac Miller props, then that would basically be amazing.
Looking to get together 1-2x/week, 2-4 hours/time, for in-person jam sessions with fellow skilled musician/guitarist. Pro level only, please.
