Street Maintenance Division has an immediate need for laborers in the Asphalt and Concrete Divisions. Qualifications are- Excellent Attendance, Punctuality, Behavior and Performance. Must be a Team Player! Beginning Wage- $16.89/hour, 40 hour work week excluding holidays Monday-Friday 7:00- 3:30 pm · High School diploma or GED · Unrestricted class C (or higher) North Carolina driver’s license or the ability to convert an out of state license to a NC license · Experience working in outdoor elements including extreme heat, rain, etc. · Experience performing manual labor · Emphasis on attendance and punctuality (one minute late is considered late) Additional qualifications for temporary staff assigned to Asphalt: · Experience using hand tools such as rakes and shovels · Ability to tolerate extreme heat (outdoor temperatures + heat from asphalt when applying to streets = extreme heat) Additional qualifications for temporary staff assigned to Concrete: · 2-3 years of experience working with concrete which includes performing one or all of the tasks below: o Pouring o Forming o Finishing For immediate consideration, please email resume.
