Description

I have a super sweet Green Quaker parrot that I rescued several years ago. When I got her, she had already been plucking her feathers. She has been rehomed twice in her lifetime and I think she plucks due to habit and itchiness when new growth comes back in. She is super affectionate, easy to handle, and she can actually talk. She says, meow, woof!, hi, cracker, yum yum, step up, she can laugh, and a few other simple phrases. She likes being in a smaller cage, so she comes with a nice, sturdy cage on wheels. She really needs the company of someone who works from home or at least has several hours a day to dedicate to playing and interacting daily. Anyone who knows anything about birds would know that birds really should have never been domesticated and kept captive. It makes them nervous, self destructive, and need companionship. Since she is a plucker, other birds are inclined to over-preen her too. So she really needs a kind, experienced human to interact with. She loves being talked to and she blows kisses. This is not an easy rehome for me because she has been my buddy for a long time since I rescued her. But she needs more attention and it’s what’s right for her. She stays frustrated because she can’t come out and play as much anymore. I am asking a rehoming fee to ensure she goes to a responsible, stable home. I will ask lots of questions to ensure she goes to a good home. I appreciate your interest. Reach out with any questions.
