Kota is a 3 year old purebred Border Collie that needs a loving home. I have had him since he was 8 weeks old and he has been the perfect dog. It breaks my heart to give him away, but I am entering my Medical Residency and I will be working 60-80 hours per week, which will not leave me enough time to properly care for him and give him the attention that he deserves. He is very sweet and affectionate, but also playful and energetic. He loves taking long walks, destroying plush dog toys, playing fetch, gnawing on cow bones, playing with children, and interacting with other animals. He loves children and all other dogs. He likes cats, but he is very playful so he often scares them by trying to play. He is very well trained and knows all the standard tricks (Basic and Advanced Obedience courses, house trained, socially trained). He is very smart, responds well to commands, and is easily trainable. He is up to date on all of his shots and immunizations (records will be provided) and he has been altered. I do not want any money for him; I only want to know that he is going to a loving home that will care for him longer than I was able to. Please do not inquire unless you are willing to walk him every day and give him regular attention. Preference will be given to people with other social dogs (non-aggressive) and/or children. My medical residency begins on June 1 and is out of state so I will be moving soon and will need to find him a home ASAP.
