Shipping & Receiving Associate Tel Instrument Electronics Corp., (“TIC”) based out of East Rutherford, NJ, is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Associate. This position performs a wide variety of activities related to the receipt, processing, storage, distribution and moving of supplies and materials within the facility. This candidate will need to be familiar with both domestic and international shipping procedures, processes and regulations. Being organized and detail oriented is a critical part of this role. You will need to have the ability to perform business math and demonstrate success in managing all shipping and warehouse functions. Need to be able to follow written instructions and demonstrated procedures. A high degree of accuracy receiving parts, counting parts, measuring and labeling is a must. This position requires superior organizational skills. Accuracy and attention to detail is critical. Being a team player is key, in addition, effective listening, verbal and written communication skills are critical. TIC is an industry leader in producing sophisticated avionic test sets for demanding military and commercial customers from both domestic and international sectors. RESPONSIBILITIES Shipping and receiving of all incoming and outgoing materials, preparing product for shipment Responsible for managing all dock area activities, overall organization of the area, receiving packages from a variety of suppliers or courier/overnight shipping services (FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.), preparing product for shipment (packaging, labeling, addressing, shipping), interfacing with production personnel and logistics personnel, data entry for receipts and shipments, and detailed record keeping and data manipulation. Ensuring the materials are delivered to the manufacturing floor Complete paperwork as required and perform inventory allocations in a timely manner Strict record keeping and MRP system inputs Responsible for cross training and working in the stockroom. Driving the company van for local pickups and drop offs when necessary. POSITION REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma At least 3 years demonstrated experience in a similar position Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently Experienced or ability to learn MRP system transactions Maintain an orderly and controlled shipping area. Flexibility and capability to deal with dynamic and changing work environment. Must be available for scheduled overtime as needed. Outstanding work ethic Valid NJ Driver License a must.
