We are a small family owned countertop company looking to fill an entry level position in cutting, fabricating, and installing granite and quartz countertops. This is a great opportunity to learn a skilled trade with similar pay to plumbers and electricians. No experience is required; however, the ability to read a tape measure to the 1/16th is mandatory. This will be your first test. Start practicing now if you want this job. The ideal candidate is young and in very good shape. You're intelligent, but maybe college isn't for you. You're also insanely reliable, drug and drama free, and can carry a decent conversation. You will be drug tested. You need to be focused, organized, and have a high attention to detail. If you are scatter brained, this is not be the career for you. During training you will be expected to follow very specific instructions. Thousands of dollars and the safety of you and your co-workers are dependent on your ability to execute properly. This job is a great fit for former military. You must have your own vehicle. It is absolutely imperative that you not have drama in your life that will routinely cause you to be late or not show up for work. The occasional traffic jam or a case of the flu is understood, but otherwise, perfect attendance and punctuality is mandatory. We do work past 5:00 sometimes. About the job: You will be learning every aspect of the stone and quartz countertop industry. Cutting, fabrication, and installing. Starting pay is $14 per hour. You will be working 35-40 hours per week, Monday-Friday with occasional overtime. We work some Saturdays. Sunday work is extremely rare. This is a W2 position with bi-weekly pay via direct deposit. If you need daily cash pay, this will not work for you. If you work hard, learn, and show up on time, you will receive a raise after a 90 day probationary period. PTO and bonuses after 1 year. Highly skilled granite guys with a year or more of experience earn $18-$25 per hour. To apply, send us an email and tell us about yourself and your work or school history.
