Description

Explore the natural world with the expertise of Florida Museum staff in this outdoor experience for your family! Family Discovery Camps are designed for adults and children finishing K -6th grade. Each week’s 2 hour morning will cover a different museum based topic and outdoor exploration of the UF Natural Area Teaching Laboratory. Each Saturday Family Discovery Camp will include: • Unique 2 hour sessions filled with science investigations, outdoor explorations and activities led by Florida Museum educators and staff • Take home activities to continue the fun in your own neighborhood This week we will be joined by scientist, Crystal Hartman, from UF's Fishing For Success program. Crystal will lead our adventure as we learn more about water and what lives in it! Get ready to come face to face with some amazing aquatic invertebrates and fishes! Wear clothes, including shoes, you don't mind getting muddy because this exploration might get dirty! (Social distancing and masks are recommended.)
