Description
The Facilities Technician is responsible for assisting with troubleshooting, housekeeping and repairs on commercial buildings and grounds throughout the Northshore area
Responsibilities:
Perform carpentry tasks such as replace doors, hardware, trim, molding etc..
Pressure wash exterior furniture, and various other items
Complete minor plumbing tasks i.e. snake drains, toilets replace hoses as needed.
Interact with customers daily letting them know what work is being completed and set up schedules for work to be completed.
Escort subcontractors and work them as they are in our customer buildings.
Ability to work with sub-contractors to develop strategies to repair issues.
Maintain lighting and bulbs to ensure that all lighting is working correctly.
Work with our janitorial team on any special projects where they may need a hand.
Patch and paint small areas located throughout buildings.
Paint entire offices, break rooms, resident rooms, bathrooms
Work with customer and paint suppliers to match colors or replace color schemes.
Schedule:
Monday thru Friday 40-hour work week
OT is possible.
Some afterhours and weekend work
Musts:
4 years’ experience in carpentry/painting or building maintenance.
Ability to think outside of the box to help solve customer problems while onsite.
Responds immediately to customer service requests
General knowledge of "handy man" tasks
Must be flexible and able to assist a customer in the evenings or weekends if needed.
Must have flawless driving record as this position does include a company vehicle.
This employer does perform a background check and also uses the Everify system.
Salary is $25-$35 per hour depending on experience
