We seek an outgoing, pro-active, hands-on person to join our team of gardeners. This is an entry level growth position. Responsibilities: • Support Fine Gardeners and Gardens in the installation and maintenance of small “city-sized” in-ground gardens • Weed, dead-head, rake, dig, plant, and water • Ongoing organization of job-site (tools, equipment, plant materials) and clean-up of site to insure timely installation / maintenance of gardens • Maintain, clean and organize truck(s) • Care of tools and equipment • Run materials to and from truck • Other tasks as assigned Required Qualifications: • Prior hands-on gardening and/or landscaping experience desired, but not necessary • Desire to be a team member and promote a professional, cheerful and respectful work environment with co-workers, clients and vendors • Massachusetts Driver’s license with excellent driving history preferred • Punctuality and present a clean, professional work attire daily • Strong work ethic with a commitment to excellence Physical Nature of the Job: • Requires extensive physical outdoor gardening work, including heavy lifting, transport, planting and removal of plants, garden supplies, containers, and tools. • Substantial portions of the work are performed in unprotected outdoor gardens and roof decks, and often require climbing of multiple flights of stairs or ladders with garden materials and equipment. • Lift 50 lbs. • Able to get in and out of trucks • Work in inclement weather (Heat, humidity, rain, snow, cold)
