Join Columbus Gives Back and FACCES at Starting Point Learning Center for their bi-monthly food drive! Columbus Gives Back is proud to partner up with the FACCES and Starting Point Learning Center, and we invite you to be a part of our new relationship with these great organizations on the south side! Where: FACCES Family Center, 2515 Lockbourne Rd. Columbus, OH 43207. When you arrive, please turn to the left and park by the fence. When: Wednesday, May 26th(4:00pm - 6:30pm) Event Leaders: [email protected] COVID-19 Precautions: All Columbus Gives Back volunteers are required to wear face masks and observe social distancing as appropriate to complete volunteer tasks. Volunteers who are sick, especially with fever or the growing number of Covid-19 symptoms, should stay home. We highly recommend that our volunteers wash their hands, use hand sanitizer at the beginning and end of the event, and/or wear gloves. We will follow whatever safety policy our nonprofit partners have in addition to the safety precautions listed above. Any volunteers determined to neglect these precautions and put other volunteers or the people we serve at risk will be dismissed from the event. In an effort to keep our volunteers, event leaders, and non-profit partners safe we ask that each volunteer or event leader sign up for no more than one event in a seven-day period, in order to limit the number of individuals you come into contact with if you are exposed to Covid-19. If you were exposed before or test positive after having participated in a CGB event, please contact the event leader or reach out to [email protected] so that we can best support contact tracing efforts. About Starting Point: Starting Point Learning Center’s mission is to uphold a safe, clean and healthy environment that is a home-away-from-home for the families we serve. Where children learn through play as their interest leads the teaching methods of the parent and teacher partnership. About FACCES: Family Adolescent & Child Community Engagement Service (FACCES) has been created to address the lifestyle disparities that affect urban communities across the country. Our goal is to improve the overall wellness, education and access to healthy lifestyle resources. FACCES specializes in family engagement with a focus on culinary education, mental wellness, legacy development, physical wellness and child advocacy. The agency provides lifestyle driven solutions that impact the needs of our communities. We develop customized programs that educates and empowers the whole family from the inside out. About Columbus Gives Back: We love Columbus, young professionals, and getting involved! Our mission is to connect young professionals across central Ohio and engage them in our communities through 35-40 social volunteer and philanthropic opportunities per month. #SocialTwist: We have begun re-introducing social twists, where we invite volunteers to hang out with us after an event to have fun doing something local! As of May 1st, outdoor/patio social twists will be coordinated at the discretion of event leaders and volunteers.
