Click here to apply: Electrical Assembly Technician (full-time) About our company: For more than 30 years, Aegis has been providing Combined Heat and Power systems (CHP) that generate usable heat and electricity using clean, efficient, natural gas-powered engines. These modular CHP systems (also known as Cogeneration Systems) will reduce a facility’s dependence on expensive utility power, reduce energy costs, and reduce a facility’s carbon footprint. Role summary: Assembles electrical sub-assemblies, control panels and wiring harnesses as well as communication and control devices for cogeneration units. To perform the job successfully, you must be able to problem solve, gather and analyze information. Be able to remain open to others' ideas and tries new things. Show dependability, complete task on time, communicate clearly and concisely, and adhere to all safety regulations. Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour depending on experience Available benefits: Paid time off Medical Dental Vision Life Insurance 401(k) with company match Primary job responsibilities: Assembly of terminals, switches, controllers, relays, rheostats, transmitters, switchboards, and electrical sub-assemblies following wiring diagrams, drawings, blueprints, and schematics. Following of assembly procedures, both mechanical and electrical, written and verbal specifications to assemble units. Cut wire and assembles wiring harnesses. Cut, strip, and mount wires to connect electrical units. Assemble all the control panels for a Cogen unit and align components and bolt or screw them together. Remove small quantities of metal to clean parts or to produce close a fit between parts, and complete assembly tasks using hand tools, power tools, lifts and/or hoists. Tests and assists in the testing operation of electrical components and completed units and troubleshoots as necessary. May assist Production Technicians in the assembly of Cogen units and the preparation of units for shipment. Travels as needed to sites to aid in deliveries, installation, startup/commissioning, upgrades, and maintenance services. Plans installation to avoid obstructions. Helps train new employees. Operates all related equipment required to complete the electrical assembly of a Cogen unit. Requirements: Ability to read and interpret technical instructions Ability to read and follow schematics and blueprint Strong attention to detail Strong work ethic Ability to work independently and in a team environment Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds The position requires an individual to stand, walk, use hand tools.
