Needing to re-home Great Pyrenees

Due our need to move out of state, we must re-home our wonderful, sweet Great Pyrenees. Samson is an adult male, in excellent health, neutered, chipped, and up to date on his shots (due in May, 2022). The vet we have been using is Pend Oreille Veterinarian Services in Ponderay. Samson has a typical Great Pyrenees personality: affectionate to his family, good tempered, strong-willed, independent, takes his guarding job very seriously, nocturnal, barks during day or night to warn away all predatory animals or strangers, protective of family members, suspicious of strangers but friendly once family lets him know they are “friends.” He will roam if not kept in a fenced yard, as is indicative of the GP breed. We want to find a loving home for him, in the area of North Idaho, who will appreciate his GP personality traits and guardianship characteristics, sometime by late summer, if possible.
