Come learn about SLA printing and the Form3! SLA printers can create much stronger and higher-detail objects than the other IRL2 printers.
This workshop will teach you how to slice 3D files for the Form3, how to initiate your print, and how to clean and cure your model. This workshop provides all materials and a sample project. Instructions can be found on our website at irl.depaul.edu and are available in the space.
This workshop is considered ADVANCED. Previous 3D printing knowledge is highly recommended to make the most of this event!
Arrive on time and do not leave early. Completion of this workshop will result in your authorized use of ONLY THE FORM3 PRINTER in the IRL2 (Lincoln Park), you must take our other 3D Printer authorizations to use the Dremel, Prusa, and Raise3D printers. Late arrivals will be turned away, and leaving early means you are not allowed to use this machine! Walk-in's will be accepted for no-show spots.
This workshop is free and open to all currently enrolled DePaul University students/staff/faculty. We do not accept those who are not DePaul affiliated. Alumni must provide an alumni ID card. Participants will be required to sign a liability waiver prior to machine use. Walk-in's will be accepted for no-show spots.
Participants seeking disability-related accommodations are invited to contact [email protected] before the workshop so we may have the proper assistance and accommodations prepared.
