On Wednesday, May 5, The Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB) released a statewide report based on a food insecurity survey they conducted called: "Gaps in Food Access in Massachusetts During COVID-19 ."
Background: From October 2020 to January 2021, GBFB surveyed over 3,000 Massachusetts adults to obtain timely data on food access and the prevalence of food insecurity during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This statewide study conducted by GBFB and in collaboration with the National Food Access and COVID Research Team (NFACT) was funded by the Hunger to Health Collaboratory (H2HC) and Stop & Shop.
