WILMINGTON, MA — A vigil will be held Thursday for people who died of the coronavirus in the Wilmington Town Common.
The "Celebration of Life—Community of Hope" is scheduled for 7 p.m., with May 20 as the rain date.
The Department of Elder Services is hosting the vigil with the United Methodist Church.
"We have lost a lot through this pandemic, and we need a place to grieve those losses," the Rev. Peter Hey wrote. "We have also learned some things about ourselves, and celebrating these discoveries is equally important."
Following the vigil, Beacon Hospice nurse Nancy Duffy will be hosting a three-part series on dealing with loss at the Buzzell Senior Center.
