MEDFORD, MA — A man was shot while driving in Medford Monday evening, police said.
The shooting happened around 5 p.m. on Exchange Avenue. The man, 22 years old, had just pulled out of a parking space near the Community Center when he was shot twice in the torso area, police said.
The man drove himself to Lawrence Memorial Hospital, which no longer offers emergency services. He was then taken by ambulance to a Boston hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The man was in stable condition Tuesday morning, police said. Investigators believe he was specifically targeted.
