This will be a 8 - 12 month contract working in a Data Center environment as a cabling technician. Work hours will typically be Mon-Fri 7am-5pm with OT in Omaha. Structural cabling (pull/test) 4. If you have experience with construction or any cabling work you will likely qualify for a level one technician Level 2 Questions/ skills required: 1. Do you know how to splice? What is splicing? What cables can you splice? (they need to be able to go into detail) 2. Do you know how to do ribbonized/ infused splicing? What types of cables can you do this on? 3. What is a punch down? Can you go into detail? 4. How long does it take to punch down 24 or 48 patch panels? 5. Do you know your color codes? 6. If you were to do Quality Assurance, what are some things you would be looking for? • Labeling of the cable • Labeling of the patch panels • Termination point • Clean consistent dressing
