Byron Reed Company is looking for hard working maintenance techs in the Omaha & surrounding areas! Candidates will start as soon as possible. Our maintenance technicians play a key part in our company and are recognized and rewarded for their hard work. What you will be doing: We are currently looking for hard-working and customer service minded individuals with prior apartment maintenance experience to fulfill Maintenance Technician positions for our properties. As a maintenance tech, you will be responsible for trouble shooting service issues that our residents encounter including-HVAC, general appliance work, carpentry, and plumbing. You will work with managers to ensure that both the inside and exterior of the properties meet company standards and applicable laws. You will respond to maintenance work orders, follow-up with residents, contractors, and managers. Nights and weekend on-call is required since property management is a 24/7 job. What we will expect from you: • Well rounded experience in all facets of apartment maintenance including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, and small appliance repair. Attention to detail and take pride in your work. • General grounds including picking up trash • Work alongside managers, office staff, and contractors to provide exceptional customer service to resolve all maintenance related issues to company standards and applicable laws. • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently. Get it done attitude. • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills are required to interact with residents, contractors, and managers. Positive attitude. • Previous experience in property management, contractors in construction, carpentry, paint and drywall, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. Hard worker, dependable, and physically able. • Valid drivers license with good driving record and auto insurance are required. • Personal vehicle is required. • Education of High School diploma or general education degree (GED) • One year of related work experience and or training • HVAC certification a plus • Certified Pool Operator and Maintenance a plus!
