Questions and connection are strongly encouraged, as she is relentless in making sure everyone is on the same page and that there aren’t any burning questions left unanswered before everyone leaves for the day.  Amy always teaches her classes on a mannequin, because it is so important to her to teach a technique as a whole concept rather than a one-size-fits-all type of rigid application. Teaching on a mannequin allows her to address different scenarios and variables so that her students know how to tackle the technique/look as a whole from different starting points. Because we all know that when we get behind the chair, no two heads of hair are the same!
