BROOKLINE, MA — Newly elected Brookline town officials took the oath of office Monday administered by the town's first female town moderator, Kate Poverman. Brookline elected its first female Town Moderator a challenger ousted a Select Board incumbent during town elections May 4 elections. Newcomer Miriam Aschkenasy and incumbent Bernard Greene were sworn in to take seats on the Select Board. David Pearlman and Dimitry Anselme and Steven Ehrenberg were sworn in to take seats on the School Committee along with Jennifer Monopoli. Ben Kaufman was sworn in as Town Clerk. Newly elected members of Town Meeting, the town's legislative branch will be sworn in May 19, on the first day of the Spring Town Meeting.
