FREEPORT, NY — The opportunities to get vaccinated for COVID-19 are stepping up. On Friday, Mt. Sinai South Nassau is set to wheel the Vaxmobile to the De La Salle School in Freeport. Those needing the shot have the walk-up option, but the Town of Hempstead, which is co-sponsoring the event, says supply is limited. The VaxMobile is available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The school is located on 87 Pine Street.
