BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — As of May 11, close to half of Baltimore County residents (371,797 residents or 44.9 percent) have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and 278,923 people have been fully vaccinated (33.7 percent). As of Tuesday, Baltimore County has a total of 64,636 positive new coronavirus cases, according to the Baltimore County Health Department, and 1,464 deaths. "As we continue to make amazing progress in vaccinating our neighbors, we're ready to move into the next phase in our fight against COVID-19. By offering on-demand scheduling, we're making it even easier for people across Baltimore County to get their shot," Olszewski said. "Moving forward, we'll continue to do whatever we can to eliminate barriers to care so that everyone can easily get this free, effective, and lifesaving vaccine." Each week, the Baltimore County Department of Health will post a weekly vaccine schedule at www.baltimorecountymd.gov/vaccine with a number of appointment slots. Residents who are medically homebound and unable to travel to a vaccine clinic can email the department of health at [email protected] or call the county's COVID hotline at 410-887-3816 to schedule a vaccine.
