BALTIMORE, MD — With 10,000 fans permitted at the Preakness this year, the race and other events surrounding it will look different. One thing will remain the same — horses competing for the second jewel in the Triple Crown on a 1.1875 mile track. Kentucky Derby winner Medina Spirit arrived Monday. After a year without fans in the stands due to the coronavirus pandemic, organizers say guests at the 2021 Preakness will be seated in pods of eight people that are socially distanced. Attendees can order food and drinks for contactless delivery to their pods using their phones. Tickets start at $45 per person in a pod at Preakness. "A reimagined entertainment experience" is how the organizers of Preakness LIVE describe the musical part of the event, which is a rebranded version of the InfieldFest that has emerged amid the coronavirus pandemic. These performers will be featured at the show on race day: NAACP Image Awards Entertainer Of The Year and renowned DJ, D-NiceGrammy Award-winning rapper 2 Chainz2020 breakout rapper Jack Harlow Preakness LIVE will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 15.
