A free outdoor summer concert series Lathrup Village summer concerts are back and we welcome you to join us for a fun and safe summer. We will follow all CDC/MDHHS/Oakland County requirements for your safety. There's plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the show. Food and ice cream truck on-site. Steve is a woodwind virtuoso specializing in saxophone and flute and is fluent in a variety of styles of jazz and classical music. The Swing Band features rhythm and blues, soul, and Motown music in addition to jazz and big band styles.Steve has been performing for nearly thirty years and is widely regarded as one of the top jazz musicians in the Midwest. He has performed at most of the major jazz clubs and festivals in Michigan and Ohio, has toured Europe twice, has recorded with a variety of leading jazz artists, and released two cd's of his own - "Unanswerable Questions" on Alembic Arts and "Deep Woods" on Corridor Records. Our 1.5 square mile city features incredible historic houses and a small-town atmosphere while being completely surrounded by busy Metro Detroit. Check us out!
