Press release from the City of Temecula: May 11, 2021 TEMECULA, CA ─ In lieu of our traditional celebration, the City of Temecula is hosting a free Virtual Memorial Day Observance event featuring the Temecula Valley SymphonyWinds, Brass, and Percussion performing 'An Old-Fashioned Concert,' on SAT, MAY 29, 2021 at 7:00 pm premiering on Facebook @TemeculaParksAndRec. Memorial Day has become synonymous with a long weekend, cookouts, parades, and family outings, but as Americans, we must never forget that there is a personal cost to the freedoms we enjoy. The City of Temecula is proud to honor our fallen heroes, as well as those who served or are presently serving in all our armed forces. Please remember to celebrate responsibly. Temecula Mayor Maryann Edwards stated, "Sharing the long-standing tradition honoring the brave Veterans who sacrificed so much for our freedom is of the upmost importance and symbolizes how much Temecula Cares.
