Builders’ Hardware and Supply, a Seattle Based 60+ year old door, frame, and hardware distributor is looking for carpenters/installers of door, frame, and finish hardware. We are currently hiring for all levels of Carpenter Positions. Our company specializes in door, frame, and hardware installation in the commercial construction Markets. Our work environment is positive and rewarding. We offer year-round, full-time employment without the fear of layoffs and the option for overtime, Paid time off/PTO. Candidates must be detail oriented, must have excellent communication skills, and experience in the construction trades. We provide all necessary tools and vehicles from the shop to the job site. Please send a resume to apply. We are looking to fill multiple positions immediately. Pay is dependent on experience and ranges from $20-$30/hr. to start depending on experience. Growth in position and income are available to people who are looking to grow and develop their skills. A qualified candidate will be a skilled and experienced carpenter. Must be able to work well with others and display a positive attitude. Must be able to trouble shoot and problem solve. Must be able to ask questions when necessary. This position requires that you be able to work efficiently while carrying out detailed tasks. Successful candidates will demonstrate the following: • Construction document understanding; Blue prints and construction correspondence • Previous exposure to finish hardware, wood, and hollow metal doors and frames • Ability to use computers/technology/smartphones including but not limited to Microsoft Office – Outlook, word, excel, Iphone, Ipad. • Ability to read finish hardware schedules, and door and frame shop drawings. • Team player with excellent communication and customer services skills • Keep project managers informed and updated on your progress and any potential issues. • Excellent attendance and punctuality required! • Must demonstrate ability to meet time sensitive deadlines and work under pressure • Install and service all types of architectural doors, frames, and hardware on building fronts, and interior and exterior walls. • Ability to Install doors and frames and plumb, level, and square. • Operates and maintains carpentry, locksmithing, MIG welding, and specialty hardware, door, and frame power tools and jigs • Must have current Washington state drivers license and clean driving abstract to be insurable to drive fleet vehicles • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and random screenings following date of hire • Other duties as assigned.
