Crossbeam Investments, LLP, a local property management company is searching for a Maintenance Technician for 606 Apartments, a 71-unit apartment complex located in the heart of downtown Bremerton. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for unit turns, work orders and general maintenance of the property. The ideal candidate must have strong communication and customer service skills and is organized, reliable, and motivated to work. The schedule can be flexible – 20 to 30 hours per week. Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician: • Unit Turns o Repairing cabinets, closet latches, hinges, bathroom fixtures etc. o Light Plumbing leaks/troubleshooting o Changing locks o Light electrical such as replacing light fixtures, heaters and outlets o Replacing water heaters o Some painting • Unit Work Orders such as clogged garbage disposals, toilets, sinks and tubs; leaky faucets, shower heads and anything the resident breaks. • Light appliance repair, knobs, burners, heat elements, broken handles, etc. • Daily walk of the grounds, vacuum and pick-up garbage as needed to keep areas well maintained. • Schedule outside vendors as needed which could include carpet cleaners, housekeepers, carpet installers, plumbers, electricians, etc. • Follow up with management on all repairs and work needed or completed. • On-call for emergency calls such as fire, floods, emergency repairs, etc. • Other duties as needed. What the Successful Maintenance Technician will have: • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician. Prior maintenance experience in property management strongly preferred. • Proficient with general repairs/maintenance work, basic appliance repair, plumbing and electrical. • Heavy appliance experience is a plus. • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and vendors. • Able to work well independently and also collaborate effectively with manager. • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Strong attention to detail. • Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations. • Hiring is contingent on passing a background check and drug test.
