JOB SUMMARY Villa Marin currently looking for a Part-Time Dishwasher who will be responsible for performing a variety of physical and manual work involved in the cleaning and storage of kitchen equipment, utensils and dishes and the maintenance of food preparation areas in a clean and sanitary manner in our Industrial kitchen. SCHEDULE: Part-Time, 24 hours per weekTuesday, Friday, Saturday: 12:30pm - 9:00pmShifts will include evenings, Saturdays and holidays as needed ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Prepares soiled dishes, silverware and similar items for automated cleaning equipmentOperates automated cleaning equipment; adds cleaning solvents or agents and adjusts settings as requiredHand washes and scrubs items as required, including pots and pansDisposes of trash and rubbish; cleans own work area and any other portions of kitchen as requiredFollows established schedules for special cleaning or pest controlStores and cleans china, glasses and other dinnerware and equipmentFollows sanitation procedures and performs periodic cleaning of china, utensils or other itemsRequired to wear food service safety gear to include but not limited to; hairnets, sanitary gloves, cut gloves, rubber soled-anti slip protective shoe and safety glasses/goggles KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: Patience and understanding of the agedSkill to follow basic written and verbal instructionsPhysical skills to perform work that requires continual standing, walking and lifting up to 40 lbsEntry level positionPrevious experience in the kitchen of a commercial of institutional food service facility desirable REQUIREMENTS Applicants must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations. Must meet health assessment requirements as regulated by the California Department of Social Services. TB testing and fingerprint clearance required by Community Care Licensing through the State of California Department of Justice background check bureau.
