NORRISTOWN, PA —Two more suspects, who had fled to Florida, have been charged in connection with an April 25 street fight that turned deadly in Norristown.
Hilton Freeman, 21, faces first degree murder charges, alongside the previously arrested Montez Kent, 29, in the shooting death of 31-year-old Junior Pinnock, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office announced.
Additionally, alongside Freeman, police arrested 18-year-old Asia Jackson on charges of hindering apprehension.
Both Freeman and Jackson fled to a relative's home in Jacksonville following the April 25 incident, police said.
On the night, Pinnock came to the area of Ann and Barbadoes streets looking for Kent in a nearby home, according to authorities.
Video surveillance showed Kent and Freeman park in a nearby county-owned lot shortly thereafter. Kent and Pinnock began fighting in the lot, and Kent pulled out a long handled knife and lunged at Pinnock, police said.
Pinnock knocked the knife away, and that's when Freeman stepped forward and shot Pinnock several times, authorities said. Pinnock died shortly thereafter.
Jackson, meanwhile, helped hide Freeman and assist his getaway after the killing, the DA's Office said.
Both of them are currently being held in Jacksonville, and have waived extradition. They will be transported back to Pennsylvania in the coming days to face charges.
