Description
Newtown Township (Bucks County), a suburban community of approximately 20,000 residents situated in desirable Bucks County, Pennsylvania, is seeking an Assistant Township Manager.
This is a full time exempt position.
This position is an integral part of the Township's management team. The Assistant Township Manager will assist the Township Manager in the day-to-day operation of the Township, which will include managing Land Development and Zoning projects, assists with economic development strategies, provides oversight of projects and purchases, assists with the development of the budget and financial strategy, coordinates with department heads, staff, and the community.
Qualified candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Community Planning, Economic Development, or equivalent, and minimum of 5+ years working for, or with, local governments. Candidates should have municipal government management (strongly preferred) or private sector management experience; knowledge of modern local government management principles; strong financial skills & planning/zoning/land development knowledge; and strong supervisory and communication skills.
Starting salary range is between $85,000 to $90,000 annually depending upon qualifications.
