OHIO — A Dover man suspected of trying to pay a woman and her underage daughter for sex was arrested Saturday in Columbiana County, according to authorities. The man, 44-year-old Chad Robert Ryan, was arrested after an investigation by the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force found he intended to pay the woman and minor for sex, Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost said in a news release. He was charged with compelling prostitution, a third degree felony; attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a fourth degree felony; and possessing criminal tools, a fifth degree felony. "We know that those fueling the demand for human trafficking have no regard for jurisdictional boundaries when attempting to buy sex," Yost said. "The Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commission model gives local law enforcement officers the power to partner and share cross-border expertise, relationships and resources to thwart these criminals and end their exploits."
