Grand Theft Suspects Stole $46K, Had Fake ATM Cards, Police Say

CULVER CITY, CA — Two suspects were arrested Monday on suspicion of having more than 300 fraudulent ATM cards, ATM skimming devices and stealing about $46,000, according to the Culver City Police Department. Someone reported suspicious activity at multiple ATMs at a bank about 10 a.m. in the 5500 block of Sepulveda Boulevard, near Vera Way, police said. Officers arrived and the suspects stopped using the ATMs and left the area in a vehicle. Officers then stopped the suspects near Sepulveda Boulevard and Playa Street. During the traffic stop, authorities found ATM skimming devices, more than 300 fake ATM cards and about $46,000. Two suspects were arrested on suspicion of grand theft. Their names were not immediately released.
