When will American citizens ever wake up? Forget Republicans, Democrats and spotted Zebras. None of that is of any real merit. We have a Constitution. That constitution gives each citizen the right to keep and bear arms. Nowhere in the constitution does it say a citizen has the right to keep and bear arms, as long as the government says they can, in the form of a permit. Why the extra paperwork? Is the constitution not in power anymore? Do politicians think we vote them in according to which, if any, parts of the constitution they support or veto? Permits shouldn't even be issued. It's the same thing as ASKING permission from the government if we can exercise our right to have guns. The constitution exists so there is no asking...it is a right, as an American citizen to walk down the street carrying a gun, if we so choose. Americans want to be law abiding citizens but how much are we abiding that ISN'T constitutional? For example, did you know that unless you are about to commit a crime, have committed a crime or in the process of committing a crime, a citizen has the fifth amendment right to remain anonymous? Law enforcement uses the "color of law" to manipulate us into giving up our rights. If we don't know them, they can and do take advantage. What is the big push for them always saying, "You got your ID, I need to see some ID". An American who doesn't know their rights would simply provide them with the information simply because, we were taught to obey the law. Countless times a day, citizens offer up their information to law enforcement. They will actually lie to a citizen to get it. They will claim, "If you don't ID to a police officer, we can arrest you for failure to ID." Poppycock and hogwash. They cannot do that. They can REQUEST your identification, but as a private citizen, you have a fifth amendment right to remain anonymous if you so choose. There is a problem in this country with too many members of law enforcement throwing their weight onto citizens they do not even have. Maybe I should have posted this in rants and raves. Maybe I will post it there too. ~~America First~~
