Northern California Research is currently seeking volunteers to participate in a clinical research study (Resume Study) to evaluate a new investigational (non-opiate, non-sedating, muscle relaxing) drug treatment for patients suffering from back pain due to or associated with muscle spasms. You may be eligible if you: • Are 18-64 years of age • Are able to walk • Have sudden-onset back pain (started in the last 7 days) not caused by a long-term (chronic) condition • Are willing to discontinue all other non-study provided medications or treatments for back pain/muscle spasm The study involves 2 weeks/4 visits to the clinic and treatment at no cost.
