Position: Environmental Driller Assistant - the driller assistant supports the drilling crew in the drilling operation. The driller assistant will move, set-up and operate drilling rigs and related equipment. Work is outdoors in all weather conditions and generally physical in nature. This position require travel and ability to work with a small crew. About SCS Environmental Contracting: SCS is a full service environmental contractor specializing in environmental investigation and remediation throughout the Great Lakes region. For 30 years, our clients have relied upon us on and off the job site. Essential duties and responsibilities: -Perform physical labor such as shoveling and lifting -Maintain equipment -Mechanical ability to do minor equipment repairs -Conduct pre-trip inspections -Knowledge of safety policies and procedures Job requirements and qualifications: -Have a valid CDL -Willing to travel (no weekends) -Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds throughout the day Salary & benefits: -Salary is commensurate with experience -High potential for overtime -No weekend work -Per diem & lodging expenses paid -Five (5) paid holidays each year -One week of vacation after one year and two weeks after two years -3% matching IRA fund after one year -Fully paid medical insurance for employee after 60 days Job Type: Full-time
