Sweet Tuxedo Cat needs new home

We have a really sweet, adorable male cat (5-6 yrs old, neutered, up to date on all shots, healthy) that was dropped off at our house by a family member. In spite of my allergy to cats, we have given him a good home for the last several years. He's very timid around everyone except my husband and I (we call him our scaredy cat), and gets along with our dog. He's never marked in our home and has always used the litter box. We hate to do it, but my allergy has been getting worse with my current pregnancy to the point I get hives when I even touch him or get his fur on me. My doctor has told us we need to find a new home for him, but we don't want to take him to a shelter.
