At Simple Homes, we are looking for experienced carpenters to join our team. Simple Homes is bringing European-style panelized construction technology to Colorado. We do this by designing, manufacturing, and assembling homes and residential structures using a unique Swedish-inspired panelized construction system. Our homes are prefabricated in its factory and shipped as panels. They are then assembled rapidly on-site—usually in 1-2 days. Including site and finish work, our system can decrease total project time by up to 30% compared to traditional on-site construction. We work primarily with builders and developers, but also offer a number of pre-designed models that consumers can configure online with real-time pricing. Our carpenters play an essential role in building this vision. They have the opportunity to help shape operations as we grow and scale over the coming months. In the process, they will be a part of a fast-paced and rapidly-growing team who wants to change the way we build in America. Primary job responsibilities Execute end-to-end construction of single-family residential wall, roof, and floor panels, including framing, sheathing, window/door install, and occasionally exterior cladding Assist with on-site assembly of panelized components (Depending on your interests): Growth opportunities in management/leadership, project management, scheduling/production planning, and procurement Key skills and experience Killer carpentry skills (framer) and/or a strong willingness to learn 2+ years of experience Tech-savvy Basic knowledge of applicable building codes & building science techniques Ability to be flexible and open to new and unique building techniques Strong communication skills Team player who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment
