Samuel, Son & Co. in Marshfield WI is Hiring! Our site is looking to add a Class A Driver/Warehouse Worker to their team! This is a hybrid role with 60% Class A truck driving, and 40% warehouse work. Making local, flatbed deliveries will be your main function, with warehouse support as required. You will be operating a forklift and crane (we are open to train and certify on this machinery). Locate stock as allocated on work order & package per workorder specifications Operate crane using a sheet lifter or vacuum lifter to split sheet bundles as required Loads and unloads trucks using crane or forklift Maintains safe and good housekeeping in work areas Assists in various other duties as directed by Supervisor Being a responsible representative while making deliveries for Samuel Son & Co and working onsite TOOLS & EQUIPMENT USED ON THE JOB (Computer, Programs, Hand Tools, Crane): Micrometer, tape measure, banding tools, AS400, sheet splitter, wood saw, hammer, stapler, crane, forklift, proper use of PPE, PVC applicator MATERIAL & PRODUCTS (For Plant use only): Sheet, plate, structural, bar, flats, tube QUALIFICATIONS (Education, experience, certifications, licences or special skills): 2-3+ years of proven Commercial Driving experience (53’ tractor trailer combination) 6 months to 1+ year of Flatbed/Rolltite Experience required Steel, or Heavy Haul, or Oversized Freight hauling experience required Forlift Certification a strong asset - willing to train A valid Class A CDL Active and Current TWIC Card Acceptable Personal and Commercial Abstracts Knowledgeable and experienced in Load Securement (strapping, chaining, tarping) Knowledge of FMCSA and State D.O.T Able to sufficiently read and write English to perform all functions of the job duties and also be physically capable to perform the same. Basic math skills and ability to read tape measures, & micrometers. Understanding of plus or minus tolerancing. Occasional Heavy Lifting not to exceed 75lbs.
