This position involves several physical requirements to make sure the vehicle and equipment are operated in a safe and efficient manner. To perform the following tasks, the driver should be in good physical condition. Additionally, applicants should be able to operate a standard sized truck & trailer safe and efficiently. CLEAN CLASS C LICENSE required; experience preferred. Physical & drug screens are performed prior to hire. • Cleaning up Scattered Refuse-May include shoveling, lifting, throwing, etc. • Maintaining visual contact with the help if assigned. • Remaining Constantly Alert- to be aware of pedestrians, other drivers, and the entire general public. We work in different types of weather and must observe all safety precautions while under these conditions. As well as seeing to drive into confined spaces, and accounting for heavy traffic conditions. (capable of seeing & hearing at all times) • Heavy Physical Labor- Generally includes, lifting carrying heavy objects, closing doors, climbing in & out of truck, bending at the waist, reaching overhead, above the shoulder horizontally, pushing & pulling, dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a variety of buttons, use of feet to control pedals and equipment. • Cleaning interior of Vehicle and exterior utilizing a pressure washer system. • May be required to assemble carts and lid cans. • Turn in VCR’s daily. • *Reading & Deciphering the Paperwork to make sure the trailer is loaded accurately. • *Loading & Unloading the trailer with the proper inventory, from/in the proper area of the yard (see yard guys if needed) • *Plugging Stops into GPS to route for efficiency • *Deliver, Swap, Repair, or Final Totters in the field in accordance with the paperwork/work orders. • *Fuel Up in the Morning • *Safely Operate the Vehicle on Route, Following all rules & regulations. All tasks must be completed to full capacity to ensure safety for the driver, the roadways, & the public.
