SUMMARY: Performs specific carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, masonry, and appliance repairs in residential apartment communities by performing the following duties: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: are listed below and will always include those specifically assigned by the immediate supervisor. • Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in completing the turn-key apartment renovations and make ready process. • Performs work in response to Maintenance Service Requests. • Performs all general repair and maintenance related to the interior and exterior of the apartment community, including drywall and painting. • Sets up and operates machine tools such as a grinder, drill, power saw, and other • Power-tools. • Repairs cabinets, countertops, doors, trim, and other wood structures. • Assembles, installs and repairs pipes, fittings, and fixtures for heating, water, and drainage. • Repairs fences, gates, walls and walkways. • Assists the Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining inventory and inventory controls. • Participates in after hours and emergency response EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High-school diploma or general education certificate (GED)with one-year certificate from a college or technical school; or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. REQUIRED KEY SKILLS: Must have HVAC certification Previous experience as a maintenance technician Have own tools Good attendance record and reliable transportation. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS • HVAC State Certified • Complete and pass the Fair Housing Test • Valid state driver’s license
